Our website offers just a glimpse of the vibrant, caring and ambitious community that defines our school. At Oakfield, we are proud to provide a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, respected and inspired to achieve their very best.

Guided by the principles of the Curriculum for Wales, we place the development of the whole child at the heart of everything we do; helping our pupils become ambitious, capable learners; enterprising, creative contributors; ethical, informed citizens; and healthy, confident individuals.

Our curriculum celebrates curiosity, creativity and a love of learning, while also fostering a deep sense of well-being and belonging. We offer many engaging opportunities for all year groups throughout the academic year and it is these experiences that allow our children first hand experiences that enhance their learning journeys.

As a Rights Respecting School, we ensure that every child’s voice is heard and their rights are championed. We believe children learn best when they are happy, confident and feel safe. Our dedicated team of staff work tirelessly to create an inclusive, stimulating and supportive learning environment for all.

High expectations underpin all that we do. We take pride in the achievements of our pupils, who demonstrate determination, kindness and ambition in equal measures. Their success is a reflection of the strong partnerships that exist across our school, between families, staff, governors and our wider community. Achievements are celebrated in many ways, so staff would also encourage parents & carers to stay up to date by viewing our regular newsletters and media pages.

We are privileged to serve such a wonderful and supportive community, with an active PTA and a committed governing body who work hand in hand with us to enrich the experiences and opportunities available to every learner. Together, we strive to ensure that every child leaves Oakfield Primary School as a confident, well-rounded individual, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the future.
