Curriculum

The pupils in Nursery will be following the Foundation Phase Curriculum and will be working towards the implementation of the New Curriculum for Wales. The New Curriculum for Wales aims to develop pupils who will be:

-ambitious capable learners

-healthy confident individuals

-enterprising, creative contributors

- ethically informed citizens.

They will follow six areas of learning and experience which include:

-Language, Literacy and Communication (English and Welsh)

-Mathematics and Numeracy

-Humanities (Geography and History)

-Science and Technology (Science and ICT)

-Expressive Arts (Music and Drama)

 -Health and Well Being

Young children learn most effectively through structured play. They will be provided with plenty of opportunities to learn through experience. 

Nursery pupils are taught through weekly themes which cover all areas of the curriculum.
