Our Eco members have been very busy this year!!! They have been involved in numerous initiatives such as carrying out an 'Environmentalg Review', organising the Christmas house competition using recycled items from home, raising awareness of recycling both in and out of school, leading a 'Road Safety' assembly and participating in the '10 Day Turn Down' - to name but a few. 

They have also been involved in raising awareness of the Cardiff City Council's 'know before you throw' campaign. 

They have been fortunate to have been able to purchase  a variety of equipment, including recycling bins and a compost bin, which will continue to improve Oakfield's ability protect the environment. 

We we are really proud of all of your efforts this year!!! Bendigedig Eco Council!!!  

One of our fantastic, enthusiastic members wrote a letter to Mr Harris, outlining ideas she had to promote recycling. As a result he joined us at one of our meetings and we shared ideas.

In our first meeting of the new year we discussed lots of different ideas and also the recycling new of food waste within the school. All the members contributed fantastic ideas and suggestions for our future plans
