We have so many wonderful things planned for this term - it is going to be incredible!!
We will be asking pupils to think about what THEY would like to learn about in the first weeks back and will try and ensure we can cover as many exciting lessons as they can think of!
Our topic is INCREDIBLE INDIA. We are very lucky to have a specialist teacher who will be coming to work with us and enhance our learning. Miss Mattravers has ACTUALLY been to India so has lots of experience and excitement about what she will be teaching.
We are also lucky enough to be receiving some Bollywood dancing lessons! This will be every Thursday this term so remember to bring in your PE clothes. This will be a great opportunity to listen to Indian music, learn how to dance Bollywood style and of course exercise too!!
We will continue to work on various areas in Maths lessons such as shape, time and measure. Don't forget to check your Active Learn account and keep up to date with homework set.
Literacy lessons will be focussing on improving the use of varied sentences and extended vocabulary. Reading a variety of books will really help achieve this. Spelling words will continue to be given out each Monday. Please ensure your child spends some time practising them at home. It is so important.
Our science focus will be on Energy and the Sustainable World and the Solar System/Sound. We will continue to have workshops led by experts in these fields to enhance pupils learning and enjoyment. In January we have a visit from ADA which is a Recycling Group. They will informing all pupils of ways to recycle and help the environment.
We have many exciting weeks of learning coming up, including St Davids Day and Welsh Week.
Keep checking Twitter and our website for photos and further information about our amazing learning!
